Changes: Help on Editing

Changes from revision 1 to 2.
The first step toIf you've already signed up, editing is to createa snap. If you haven't, go ahead an account by clickingclick "Signup" in the upper right hand corner. Once you're logged in you can edit any page simply by clicking the word "Edit" at the top or bottom of each page. You could also click "Wiki Edit", but that's generallythis screen. It's quick, easy and free. We won't ask for people with experience editing other wikis.much information because we care about your privacy.

The first several timesEditing any entry is as simple as clicking on "Edit" at the top of the screen. It's pretty much like a word processor after that, just click in the white area below and start typing! While you edit entries, are in the editor, you can click "Help" to get some specific help about how to insert images, video, links, etc.

To create a new entry, simply search for the title of the thing you wish to create an entry for and then click where it says "Click here to create this entry". An even better way is to create a link on an existing entry and then clicking on the red "uncreated" link. For instance, add a link on the [restaurants] entry by typing [[lbracket]]"Danny's Diner"[[rbracket]] (anything you type between square brackets and double quotes will turn into a link), save the restaurant entry and then click on the link to Danny's Diner. You
will automatically open. Whenbe asked if you want to create that entry... which you should do! Whenever you see a red link, you can click on "Never show this message again" it will no longer open automatically, butto create that entry.

There are many more features available, which
you can always get helpfind by clicking "Help" inexploring the tool bar.site, but this should get you started. Feel free to read through the help, and if you figure out a tip you think others could use, add it to the site.

Incidently, for you "power users" out there, you can also click "Wiki" for the wiki editor, which allows you to edit the entry directly. It's a bit more technical, but some people like it better.
